Sorry to hear about your bike being totaled. Pretty heartbreaking:( I agree with buying the bike back and seeing how you can salvage it. No matter how riders look at it we are involved in a risk related sport and sometimes "stuff" happens. Get more experience riding a 250 or equivilant, buying a cbr 600rr would be an unwise move. That is a powerful bike and less forgiving. It is awesome that you have not given up and still want to ride, good for you. Wish you the best:)

it's totaled. .
Sounds more dramatic than it really is. As others have suggested, buy the bike back off the insurance company (if you can), and fix it yourself. Friends of mine have done that. Satisfying, and they have enjoyed learning more about motorcycles in the process.

Definately. You would not feel at ease on a 600..you can find honda night hawk 250's, suzuki just put out a classic styled 250 its not a sport bike but it rides nice and is about the same price as the cbr..and theres always the 250 ninja, there are many ways you can go with your situation..Good luck!! Oh yeah definatley pad the life ins. if you go the 600 route..bigger,faster,heavier,more unforgiving, less room for error..

Glad you guys are OK. Thats why the pros tell us to get 250's. So we can learn on em. I've learned something new everytime I ride this bike, and everytime I get home I tell myself im so glad I got a 250 and not a 600 to start off with. Definitely let your insurance handle everything. Make sure you bike is fixed to like new conditions. And take it easy out there, I know you guys just cant contain that beast of a 250 but you have to try.:)
