Yup, I have one. Not chrome finish though. Works great for the little time I used it. Perfect for long highway rides.

Looks are extreamly important on anything I put on my bike. For 15 bucks more i will not use the o-rings. That is a great idea though!

Your clutch still works while using a throttle lock and you can always disengage the lock or move the o-ring. I don't think you would want to use it in stop and go traffic but on the highway I think it's perfectly safe.
i'd say so. as well as the above suggestion you also have a kill switch located just near your right hand that will stop the motor in a hurry if you need to the same as closing the throttle...

The O-Ring doesn't lock the throttle. It just holds it in place.
With it on you can still work the throttle all the way on or off.

I have the same thing but a black one from a different brand (I think). The 7/8" size fits our stock grips. I love mine for highway travel. I could see it being a problem in a crash as it might keep your throttle engaged. It's good thing I've had my accident and won't have another. j/k
DJ showed, in another thread, that a cheap clamp can be used in the same way as this product... but it looked ghetto, IMO.
