Did your bike come with a license plate holder or frame?

I just noticed that there is no holder or bolts, just the slots that bolts go through.... Plate hasn't arrived yet, but not sure how I'm supposed to attach it.

Mine came with a plastic frame advertising the dealership. It will soon be replaced with the Aeorstich frame that says "70MPG" so all the cages can get even more annoyed as I cheerfully filter on by.

My last bike, the Buell came like yours..nothing, not even screws & nuts for the plate. A quick stop at the hardware store remedied that but I never did get a license frame for it. The plate was naked, just like the bike :)
Mine came with 2 small circular reflector tag bolts to hold on the temporary tag...i ordered a chrome tag frame and 2 tag bolts to hold it all on when my permanent tag came in...put the tag bolts in at the top and moved the reflectors down to the bottom.

Any rust proof bolt/nut (stainless) big enough to fit thru ur plate holes will do the job...go to walmart if you dont have a hardware store
Personally I would just ask my dealer for the bolts. If I bought a new bike there then I want my **** bolts for free haha

Unfortunately..i have found that Honda motorcycle dealers are some cheap a$$ sons of bitc#e$...Where on God's green earth would you buy a Brand spanking new vehicle from a dealer and not expect to drive away with a complimentary FULL tank of gas...Till now I would have thought it was unheard of....Till I was told I would need to drive to a gas station just as I was about to start my new bike and drive off the lot...the last bar was flashing already as I pulled onto the road...so tag bolts? doesn't surprise me that they dont include those for free either..bet ya if go ask them for some tag bolts they will gladly give you a pair..THEN charge you dealer pricing for them (300% over actual cost)

Surprisingly, as much as I like my local dealer (I have several riding buddies that work there), they only put in a complementary 1 gallon of gas in every bike they sell. They do provide some nice tag bolts though..
Well I did get a full tank of gas, so I guess I'm not too annoyed about having to go to Home Depot for some nuts and bolts!
Mine came with a frame and bright yellow paper (where the plate goes) advertising the dealer. Gone as soon as my plate came in. They also supplied me with a full tank of gas and a disk lock.

Lol. Wow, mine came with plastic plate bolts, a Lake City Honda plate frame, a full tank of gas and 10% of anything in the store for 2 months (which I'll talk them into giving me every time I buy something because they are so easy lol)
Given the choice between a full tank of gas or a couple screws & nuts worth two dollars,
I'll choose the gas every time :)

Whoa.. that's a great idea.. I think I'll do that also !
My bike, delivered yesterday, came with a full tank of gas and a plate holder. I'm shaking my head that there's even a thread about this. How cheap can a dealership be?

Oh, I think you'd be surprised.
With the exception of one really good HD/Buell shop (now out of business) and one really good Kawasaki shop (still in business) all the dealerships I've had experiences with are as cheap as they can get away with.

I can't comment yet on my Honda shop. I'll be finding out in a week or two.

What we need is a "good dealership" thread where folks can enter the dealerships where they've gotten excellent service from and give mini reviews. Such as dealer name, location, service done, results.
