It was a phone conversation? Then the shop is in the clear and any valve/valve-related issues that come up later are all on your dime. Honda isn't going to honor their warranty if you don't follow the maintenance schedule. Your call.

I also agree with w0rM & Brian. Tell the dealer to read the manual (and TSBs for the CBR250R) and then find another dealer who has a clue and isn't talking out his sphincter.
