I'm not educated enough with exhaust systems to say for sure but I think splitting the exhaust might cause flow & back pressure problems, possibly killing the torque and basically make the bike run like crap. Exhausts need a certain amount of back pressure & a certain flow velocity to do their job. Length & diameter of the pipes play a huge role in this.

I suppose a crafty & skilled person could fab a 'dummy pipe'.
It would be a lot of work, time & money for just looks.
