Saw this earlier, new electric KTM out next year under $10k. Battery life and recharge time will tell if it's worth while, don't have time to search it out, posting as I get ready for Friday night out.
Love the sound, like my old electric RC car when I was a kid.

It looks a lot more fun than barreling down a super highway at 80 mph, *ucked on a tarted up quarter litre dual-sport in sports bike guise.

As practical day to day transport e-bikes still have a way to go. According to a report the little KTM is good for about 45 minutes taking it easy, and 20 minutes going hard, but it doesn't pretend to be anything but fun. I'd like to have a play on one.

I'm sure the boffins are working on it, and we'll see more useful e-bikes in the not too distant future.
