I'm adding a couple of things (aux headlights, sidestand beeper) that will need to have an on-when-the-ignition-is-on 12-v wire. Where's a convenient place to connect such a wire on my CBR250R?

The relays for these items will probably be just forward of the regulator on the left side, but I'm not seeing a good place to tap into wiring over there.

On other motorcycles, I've used a tail light wire, but all the wiring on this beast is wrapped and buried to an extreme degree . . . which is good for reliable operation, but a pain when I want to do modifications . . . .

Any suggestions?

Could plug the beeper into the T10 socket for the running light. Not sure about the Aux headlight

EDIT:
Couldn't you tap in to one of the running lights on either side of the headlight for your relay? Easy access up front, just shrink wrap the splice real good afterwards.
I think we must have posted at the same time

Those "running lights" are just signal lights in the USA. We are not permitted to use the amber signal lights as running lights, so the wiring control is a bit different on the US bikes.

my ambers run all day (Illinois)

As for keyswitched 12v, can tap the headlight, or day lights, pretty much anywhere on the bike. Just watch how much you are drawing away from those.

Should be fine for running a relay off the running lights though, yeah? Wouldn't want to draw any real amperage off the line but a relay should hardly register.
Yeah, I'm running relays for both the aux headlights and for the kickstand beeper. The headlights need a relay for the amperage; and the beeper circuit because the switch is open when the stand is down, so I need to reverse the logic (or I could just have it beeping to tell me the stand is up and it's OK to ride ;^)
