Installed these foam grips that slip over existing grips today then went for a 45 mile ride since it was 54 degrees....For probably the very first time ever, My fingers did not get numb one single time...not once.
I always have to shake one hand or the other out every once in awhile because of tingling and numbness..but not today..well worth $10.

This is important to me because fingers going numb occasionally was one of the smaller but most annoying problems I had with riding this bike..I am so relieved I have found a cure that works for me and just wanted to share.

Yes, these are very effective, especially on long rides. An added bonus is that over time they will compress somewhat over time between your thumb and index finger, making them even more comfortable, apart from almost eliminating the handlebar vibes.

How did the foam help your fingers in the cold? Do you ride with gloves?
Always ride with gloves..today was with leather gloves cuz it was still a bit chilly...I have a pair of textile padded vented gloves I wear in warmer weather

Just wondering how these are holding up over time/weather. Thinking about getting some myself, however I'm also concerned about the increase in diameter (I typically wear a size small glove).

They hold up just fine, I've had a 60c pair last for a year now.

However, it does increase the effective yawn of the levers, which may be of importance to you if your hand size is small, esp in stop go traffic when there is a lot of brake/clutch usage. You might consider adjustable levers (I used a hammer as I prefer minimal yawn in my lever anyways, and my brake lever has much less travel, having a near non expanding steel coiled teflon line).

Thanks for the info - where they easy to stretch over the existing grips?
They are also available from here - as Amazon does not deliver to all countries.

I've found that by gripping the tank more effectively with my legs, I don't have to squeeze the hand grip as hard. Less fatigue, and fewer times I have to shake out my hands.

They will stretch over the existing grips, but use a soap solution made from any cake of soap, NOT a ready made soap solution. The latter has humectants (to prevent it from drying out) and this will make the foam grip turn independently of the original grip as it will continue to function as a lube.

I just ordered these. My hand doesn't go numb since I've gotten over the "death grip". Lol. But it seems like my thumb is numb all the time now. Even when not riding. Been doing a lot of hwy riding the past few days though. And they were cheap so I figured why not. I also hug the tank on the hwy. Been getting blown around a lot since its been windy and at hwy speeds that's not fun.

In the years I've been riding I find good gloves make the difference. I never get numb hands, and I do mentally tell myself to relax when the wind is extreme and I'm gripping the bars. Next purchase are heated gloves
