wow that is bad....I have been doing quite a bit of freeway riding too and have been getting a lot more than that. Not all freeway riding though......
naaim, 2442 recorded a 97 and a 52. I'd say that is the range. Don't know how he got to 52, because I'm pretty sure you were WOT to get 57:D:D:D
I'm getting 76mpg average, other riders / forums / tests are in that range... If you're driving conservatively and getting much less than that, something may be wrong.
Well my i made 3 Litres, 100 Km very good for me
You probably didn't have a full tank or fill ALL the way up. When you refilled the tank, how many gallons did you put in? I've filled up twice and both times I wasn't able to get more than 2.5-2.8 gallons in before it clicked, and I think the book says it has a 3.23 gallon tank. You literally have to fill the tank to the brim to get Honda's claimed gallon amount.

Make sure you are actually recording your gas mileage after you fill up, using the amount of gas it took to fill up, not the "full tank" Honda claims.
Hes right your tank was probably not filled 100% but probably up to about 80-90% which isnt tooo shabby maybe you should consider your driving habits as well...

How much do you weigh? Were you rolling in top gear?
yes the gas tank was full, the bike was straight when it was getting full. The gas went past the neck of the gas tank. I weight 200 pnds and I drive it around 70-85 on the freeway would ride it faster but it wont give me no more due to the wind.

I think this says it all. Under these conditions the mpg doesn't sound too bad. Back off a little and it would probably be a lot better.
So, you got 56, I haven't seen any other bikes getting any better at those speeds. It will go lower, I saw someone record 52. That still seems pretty good for the low side of mileage figures.

how did you come up with 56 miles a gallon on a total of 140 miles??? the bike holds 3.4 gallons of gas devide the total mileage i am receiving 140 by 3.4 comes out to 41.2 miles per gallon.

I guess it could be cause I am riding it to it's maximum capacity I hope that is what it is.
has anyone else been riding the bike to it's maximum everyday 70-85 miles top speed??? have you been reciving better gas mileage???
well, how much did you put in to fill it up? I only get 2.5 gallons in when I fill up. 140/2.5 sounds about right. Naaim recorded 57 for his first two tanks, and was doing some 'tests.' My lowest so far is 62, but it wasn't all highway and mostly only 60-70

ok ok i see your point, yea you are right. it was 2.554 gallons. so Honda is lying about this bike having a 3.5 tank. S.O.B!!!

should have gone with the NINJA!!!

No there not lying. The tank holds exactly what they say it holds..... 13lts or 3.4 Gallons...
I found that the tank is a pain to fill with about 2 bars on the gauge I only get 6 to 7 l of fuel in, and that got me about 300odd kms which means im getting 3-4l per 100kms which imo is fair **** good. I use 98 octane

and in australia it costs $1.50au per Liter
If you only filled up 2.55 than your tank either wasn't full or you didn't fill up completely... I've been getting OVER 70 on some occasions, and I'm doing 60 mph most of the time. Maybe you need to shift into higher gears a little sooner? I try not to get the bike past 7 RPM's unless I have to.

Hey, you should be doing better, I am lighter 70kg soakin wet, but have used my bike on the coast 5ft above sea level to 2500 ft ASL. Ive run flat out on the superstrada at 150kph for 20 minutes each way, I admit that being heavier may affect or is it effect mileage but it shouldnt be that drastic. Also even at my weight if I come untucked (I never truly get a full race tuck) but it really does have a airbrake effect if you dont compensate with the throttle. Also I am using 91 or 92 octane gas, there are only 2 grades available here, the above and a 98 o-rated fuel. Maybe swing back to the dealer for a ckeck, or do a at home restart. Disconnect the battery for bit and see if it resets the ignition'air fuel mapping, (also will hafta reset the clock). Hope yah sort it out, the only issue ive had with mine is that the roads here are very twisty and before i run out of lean angle the foot pegs start barkin..LOL
Oh forgot to add my mileage, its roughly 70mpg, Ive rounded down but I think its still incredible due to the factors involved in my riding habits/area.
