After much research I have decided to finish my 2013 Repsol 250R engine upgrade by limiting it to the K&N filter unit, an Akrapovic slip on and a Dyno Jet PCFC fuel controller.

I am going to shy away from an overbore kit as I believe the larger piston will upset the balance of the engine and invite wanted vibration plus the potential wrist pin and piston failure as reported by fellow forum members

Been building bikes for awhile and distinctly remember the awful results of over boring the earlier Honda CL72 and CB77 parallel twins. Big vibration, limited top end rpm and a distinct power drop at the upper rpm ranges.

I have had the 250R top out at 84 mph and can cruise it comfortably in the 60-65 mph range. I think that's enough for the smallest bike in my garage, anything more just requires jumping on one of my larger machines.

Here is stock with a hard break in:
+1 LOL

I had mine up to 93 indicated on the second day of ownership (torrential rains on day one, so I didn't go much over 70). I ran out of road, or I think it would have been more.
and (same source),

Dj polished his intake ports and got it over 100 mph, IIRC.
