Got the call today. They recieved the two black ones. The red one is a no show. Mines still in the crate so I got to sit on the sold one they had on the floor.
Its a lot bigger then it looks in the pics, actually looked bigger then the 600 it was next to. Suprisingly comfortable, also sat on the Shadow. Between them both I couldnt decide which was better, just different.
I didnt get to ride it as it was already sold and mine had to be prepped. Sales guy said he took it around the lot and he was impressed. Figured he had no reason to lie since I was really interested in the Shadow too. But since the CBR was almost half the price I stuck with it.
Only negative was that it looks cool, but blah. To much black, needs some graphics or something.
Financing's all done and will be picking it up tomorrow.

It was a Yamaha 600 sport bike that it was next too, not sure which one. Also the seating position makes you feel like you sit up higher too. Which would be a great thing in traffic.

Madd! We are all excited for you and look forward to your photos and comments. Be careful riding home and enjoy the ride. Sorry to hear you are a little bummed by the black being to plain. I have not seen the red/silver but saw a blk cbr today. I thought it looked fantastic. You can make it look really sweet, I think, with some red accents such as the windscreen cowling and those two flare pieces at the flanks. Honda and the aftermkt will also have some nice aluminum anodized parts to add. Your paint guy will have some ideas........
Oh yah was just out in the garage thinkin how to jazz it up. Cant wait to get a colored windshield. When I was at the dealership yesterday and today evryone coming in was stopping in and looking at the one on the floor.

First ride review

I'll be honest after riding bikes in the 750-883 range I was a little worried that I made a mistake buying the lil 250. Well after riding it home those thoughts are gone. Probaly one of the fuunest rides in a long time. Only got to ride it 30 miles home, started lightly raining a couple blocks from home.
Most of my trip home was on highly congested 4 lane highways. It was great, plenty of get up and go and it maneuvered like a dream. Sittin up high and being able to see above the cars ahead was great. Did a short expressway cruise got it up to 75 with no problem. Its geared perfectly for the heavy traffic too. Best part was that it soaks up bumps like nothing. With my cruisers I usually zig zag around any little pot hole. The CBR goes right over them like they arent there. You dont feel it in your back at all like a cruiser. Only thing was that my left wrist got a little soar, but I fixed that by changing my riding position. Really only bad thing was that even with that short ride my jacket already scuffed up the tank pretty bad.
Its a great bike with plenty of power and the fun factor is awesome.
The bike is so forgiving and easy to ride that if youre a new rider dont let that get you to over confident. Even with me I had to slow down a bit as I started to think I was a GP racer.
If you happen to be in the West Chicago area Dupage Honda Yamaha are great.

If you'd look at it you'd never know it was just a 250. Suppose thats why the Ninja 250 doesnt come with 250 stickers on it. Even though it feels light and narrow it still has the feeling and handling of a real bike. Theres just a little bit more shifting, but that i feels what makes it even more fun. And it stops on a dime.
