CBR250R vs Ninja

Hi everyone, Ordered my CBR back in march. Was told April, then may,and then june. Got sick of it and said forget the whole thing and bought a 600 yamaha instead. Well it finally came in and im thinking about buying it for the wife ( and me ). So im wondering are you happy with your purchase? Would you do it again? Is the performance acceptable? Would really appreciate your imput Thanks

The only other bike to consider in this price range is the Ninja250. Here is some reading.

Sprocket

The CBR250R would ride better with a longer first gear which a larger front sprocket which I am pursuing for fuel economy reasons will help.

29 mph in first

I have been playing with the gearing commander spread sheet and it shows that we should be able to get to 29 mph at redline in first but it might shake when the engine starts bouncing off of the rev limiter. It is also interesting that the wide rear wheel is making our tire run at a smaller circumference than normal. You must change the circumference to 74 to get numbers that match what the actual mileage that I have calibrated on my bike.

valve shims

basic consumables such as oil filters and valve shims

I had to make my own valve shims and resent having to waste my time due to their idiot logistical management.

I thought I read somewhere that the valve shims were shared with some previous models?
