If someone had told me that I was going to buy a 250 road bike a month before I bought the CBR250r I would of laughed in their face. I own ( and have owned) bigger bikes for many years....but one test ride and I put down my deposit ....the CBR250R is just plain fun to ride 
However it really is "Horses for Courses" the CBR250R is a awesome sports/commuter, if there is such a thing... However, if you had to commute long distances at freeway speeds or your interests were more cruzing then buy a bigger bike.
