Hazard flashers?

I can't tell if this is a joke or not. I'll assume not.
No, there are no hazard flashers. The only bikes that I've ever heard of that had flashers frmo the factory are BMWs. If you really want to have them, I think there are some aftermarket kits that you can install in order to get that capability.

I used to have a honda motorcycle about 14 years ago..you pulled the turn signal switch straight out a bit and the turn signals flashed as hazards....when i was researching photon blasters and dual led license plate brake lights...one thing they all hyped was they also worked as hazards when you turned your bikes hazards on...i would assume making all 4 turn signals flash at the exact same time wouldnt be anything out of the ordinary to ask of a manufacturer for a $4000 vehicle to do if you have to pull on the side of the road...i honestly didnt know it wasnt a standard feature on every motorcycle

My Suzuki Boulevard, Harley and even my Yamaha Zuma had flashers. Just carry a bucket of flares with you.

I cant..the toolkit (allen wrench in a pouch) already takes up all the tiny available space under the seat

You could always pour some gas out of the tank and light it.

Most bikes don't have 4 ways **** most people wouldn't notice them anyway with as many lights are on cars now. Flasher on the back light and the mirrors and some times you have the walking flashers 4 ways on a bike would just look like a blinker on a bigger car anyway. I just toss some small chem lights (glow sticks) under the seat if I need flares and alot less dangerous then road flares. They take up almost no space and work for about 4-6 hours if you need longer then that before you get help you need to ride in a different place or get better road side assistance.

Excellent post! Thanks for sharing! I am considering these. What was your total cost? Do u think there is another way to hide wires? ....without drilling up into the fender? Can u take video at night ? Thanks! Love this site...so many mbrs share their experiences.

The Honda VFR has flashers as well, (sixth gen does anyway), it's the only bike I've ever had that has had that feature.

My old Sportster had flashers. I think most HDs had them.
I never used them for more than 15-20 minutes though for fear of killing the battery. Not a terrible thing on a carburated bike but one with FI needs electricity for the computer to tell the injectors to inject and therefore can not be bump (push) started if the battery is completely drained.
At least to my knowledge.

My Yamaha had flashers, I wish my 250r did. But I suppose things like flashers, and the high-beam 'passing' flasher were eliminated to reduce parts count and cost.

What I do is use the flasher on the side closest to traffic. This identifies the physical edge of the bike, and makes people wonder for a moment 'is he pulling out'? The turn signal is quite bright, at least that's good.
I researched the photon blasters further and if i read it correctly it flashes like that ALWAYS with the brake lights?? Way overkill.

My HD sportster has flashers stock, I guess i never thought about it. If this thing dies on the side of the road ill just carry it home.

You need to do some more research. Read about the conspicuity filter at the Skene Design site. It has been carefully designed to have a very slight flicker only when viewed with peripheral vision, not head-on. It's hard for a video to show, unfortunately.

Also...the Photon Blasters are the front-facing amber lights. The rear lights are called the P3.

Anyone Tried the SignalMinder from Kisan

The SignalMinder from Kisan has hazard lights as as built in feature supposedly. I ordered one mainly to get the benefit of Self Canceling signals. but I know it is supposed to have a hazard light function turned on by turning on the Rt. Signal 3 times in quick succession. Also has a braking warning where it will flash the rear signals when you hit the brakes. I will let the forum know how it works when I install it when it arrives.

anyone have an easy automatic off fix
to remove the need to deliberately press
the switch in after every signalling event?

for some reason my brain still isnt reliable
in doing this after every signal to overtake
or turn or change lanes or back again etc..
