I wanted to thank all of the folks here for the wealth of info. It is highly likely that next week I'll be trading my VFR 800 for a CBR 250 to fill the sportbike slot in the stable. While I dearly love the VFR I've come to realize that it is trying to kill me. Whenever I ride it it makes me think I'm 25. Unfortunately the body doing the riding is 63 and doesn't react or bounce like it used to.
I took an hour long test ride Friday and was very impressed, a lot more pop than the TU 250 I tested earlier this summer. Comfort was good though I'll probably go Corbin this winter. At 6'1" 245# I found 6th gear marginal but a 13 tooth sprocket should fix this.
I think this little beast will make a fun addition to the Zuk S40, Silverwing scooter and Helix scooter. I've toured on the Helix and will likely do the same on the CBR. No freeways up here and I ride a lot in BC Canada where speed limits are a bit lower.
I'll post up on the New Members area if this comes off. Thanks again.
