The majority of my riding is at 1066m/3500 ft. Last year I rode Highwood Pass. It's the highest paved pass in Canada at 2206m/7,239 ft. I could definately feel the difference going up hill.
A friend and I ride one section of it every year on our mountain bikes. The ride starts 17 kilometres from the peak and the elevation change is 500 metres. This photo was taken June 8th last year about 100 m from the sign. At the start of the ride there was no trace of snow.
