I am due for my 600 mile service and was wondering if it matters whether you get this done at a Honda dealership or any motorcycle dealership. I'm not too confident in the Honda dealership where I am located (even though I bought my bike from them) but I have another used dealership I used to take my ninja to that were pretty decent.

I'm a big proponent of using another "dealership" if their mechanic is certified. Sometimes the mechanic is also the owner. If this is the case then you know they will do or a good job or they'll be out of business. There are some shops here that don't sell new bikes but just service them. You can check with others in your area for recommendations.
