I'm just back from 2 days of 150kph highway cruising.

Didn't pay any attention to the fuel economy, but it sure wasn't 33kmp/l. :D

Usually though if pottering about without excessive speed you'll get 30-33kmp/l.

BTW, have 8500km on the CBR and it's an absolute little monster of a thing. I went for a nice 2 day ride and now, from a nice hard break in it has gone on to destroy everything on the highway, not one vehicle managed to pass it over 800km on what was pretty much empty 3 laned highway. The bike laps it up at 150kph (93mph) at 9000rpm and feels completely safe and sturdy in doing so. That's with a normal riding position and not ducking down onto the tank. The bike is still stock, but my word it's a machine and a half.

Don't know about US highways, but if the traffic is averaging 130kph (80mph) you'll be blasting past 'em, just get the engine broken in nice and hard.
Hey Redline, awesome to hear that from you. Will you please post some photos of your cbr if possible.

wanted to ask a question: how controlled are the vibes from the body at high speeds?? does the counterbalancer really work?? Pretty keen to know this:)

cheers!

REdline: awesome pictures there mate! Shes a stunner in black! Lovely indeed.

One more query, are you considering changing to better tyres?? I guess the stock ones are IRC correct??

And did Honda provide you a manual with the bike giving any special running-in instructions?? PRetty curious to know of it.

Cheers!
