I bought a CBR250R model 2013, what is the first thing you would recommend me to do?

One of the first things I did before and after buying the motorcycle was to go into this forum, and then order professional literature.

Since I bought it I have been working to fixing what needs to be fixed. The motorcycle looks good, but has 66,000 kilometers, and in the last two years the maintenance has been at a minimum, so there is a lot of mechanic job to do...

Mechanics is my hobby, yesterday I shortened my side stand in 5mm, that gave me the idea for this post.

I thought ... "shorted the side stand is the first thing?" Because otherwise the motorcycle has a strong tendency to fall in the parking, and it not a theory, it sooner or later happens to everyone:unsure:?) ... What would you recommend to me?
what is the first thing? To fix? to check? To upgrade? ...What? Thanks.

I don't think there is an easy answer to that. It really depends on the condition of your bike and your preferences. I myself haven't modified anything except for adding a power outlet.
What you should definitely check are the brake pads, brake fluid, chain's tension and general condition, condition of the sprockets, age and condition of the tires.

What you should definitely check are the brake pads[Need to replacement], brake fluid [Tend to replacement], chain's tension[O.K.] and general condition[There are oil leaks that need to repair], condition of the sprockets[O.K], age and condition of the tires[The front is close to replacing, not yet].
Would you add to your wonderful list something special that is only related to the CBR250R ("Full Black" model 2013)?

What it is a "power outlet"? Thanks.
Replace the coolant too. Who knows when last done. If it has original tires (which is doubtful with that many miles), I would change them simply because of their age and how hard they would be, regardless of what the tread depth may be.

I have two cbr250r’s, and have never thought they might fall over the opposite way when they are resting on their kickstands. If someone lowered the bike, I could see shortening the stand, but otherwise this seems like a useless modification.

Good luck,

Don't think there is anything else. Do you have a service record of the bike? The valve clearance inspection should have been done at 48000 km.

An electric socket so I can supply my smartphone with electricity and use it for navigation. (turned out I barely ever used it though...)

Replace the coolant too[Good idea, I'll do it]. Who knows when last done[12/2016 11,000- Now 66,000 ]. If it has original tires (which is doubtful with that many miles), I would change them simply because of their age[Rear 2019 3519, Front 2017 0317] and how hard they would be, regardless of what the tread depth may be[R-D=3mm, F-Will be replaced soon].

I have two cbr250r’s, and have never thought they might fall over the opposite way when they are resting on their kickstands. If someone lowered the bike[I checked, there is no change in the height of the chair that is 780mm(Spec for CBR250R), the handlebars are tilted to the left, and still the tilt angle did not provide a good stability], I could see shortening the stand, but otherwise this seems like a useless modification.

Good luck, Thanks.
. Do you have a service record of the bike?[Only until 2019] The valve clearance inspection should have been done at 48000 km. [No adjustment was made at 48,000Km, in my opinion, also not tested in measurement with a feeler gauge. The engine sounds and feels like it has no problem with the valves. But Later, hopefully this year, I have an intention to open the valve cover and check.]
An electric socket so I can supply my smartphone with electricity and use it for navigation. (turned out I barely ever used it though...It really does not seem so important to me, may be distracting from riding, might be dangerous!) I also have a special device for mobile, I had to complete two rubbers for it (I replaced all four), currently the wires for the USB connector that Integrated within are disconnected, I will check it later, if it can be fixed I will fix it (Or not? Because I do not really need it).

this seems like a useless modification.
On further thought, YES, perhaps the previous owner put(After an accident?) an unsuitable stand?
For example(According to HAYNES guide):
Seat height in CBR125R is 795mm.
OR
Seat height in CBR300R is 785mm.
Maybe my side stand belonged to one of the models above?
onebohemian You can give me a reference measure from your kickstand? Thanks!!!

The condition of your bike will determine what should be fixed.

New tires.

Seems almost all used bikes need new tires immediately.

New tires.
Thanks
My rear tire is OK. If it's OK I'm not touching it.(Since August 2019 - Relatively new, without any cracks, pad thickness greater than 2mm, no deformations in shape, no other defects)

Ideologically, I have no interest to make an old motorcycle(Model 2013) to new. Good and proper maintenance does not mean making everything new. I'm not going to ride with it on the edge of his limits(160 kph)...the front tire will be replaced soon.

Below is a power outlet.

Notice in one of your posts that you have a Haynes manual?? Using that book will show you how to inspect the clutch plates and you do not need to drain the coolant

you do not need to drain the coolant
Thanks you for the link and the information.
YES you are! AT CBR250R the coolant needs to be drained

If you read in HONDA book P.10-6
OR
Haynes P.2B-20, section15
You will see that the water pump is in the right cover, and for taking off the right engine cover it required to drain the coolant ...
I’ve done just about every modification you can to the bike. I would first do the 13t front sprocket you get a much better bike for the $15 or whatever it is. You can reuse the stock chain you have on for that. After that I’d do a double bubble wind screen and maybe a tail tidy to clean up that stock Christmas tree nonsense. That’s really the important stuff. The akrapovic/ohlins stuff isn’t nearly as beneficial as those and exponentially more expensive. Maybe new front turn signals. I think the stock ones look terrible and are way too big. Bar end mirrors to get rid of those insect eye mirrors. Flush your brake fluid. Stainless braided lines are only $50 for the bike.

Very nice ideas, thank you very much. I personally do not like modification, but now I curiosity, so maybe later I will try the three offers you made, which are also cheap. I was not sure about the two expressions, so I went to search the internet, and these are the attached pictures, for those who are also unfamiliar with the expressions:
"tail tidy"
"double bubble"
As for the turn signals it is difficult to adjust a front set that will be in proportion to the "BIG" front plastic cover. If change, It needs to change together, front and back, maybe I'm wrong? worth to trying.
And yes, replacing an exhaust is also a good idea, but there may be a problem with the device. I need to check it in terms of the law, it's might be a problematic issue.
You’re right, the components you mentioned have a funny looks, but the mirrors are very effective, and their rod is a casting shaped rod, in my opinion a beautiful "insect eye" design.

Check the stock seat height compared to your bike, maybe your bike was lowered.

Hellonwheels thank you very much! I checked, the chair was not lowered, the height according to the specifications.780mm
General update:
I'm still working on the motorcycle, at all this time my CBR is in a riding condition, but there was a lot to fix. Very soon I will finish the "alignment" maintenance, and the motorcycle will go into an orderly routine of schedule maintenance (A very reliable motorcycle).

Last week I replaced the windscreen, YES at the end I bought an original, because I think it's the most beautiful. The reassembly went well, needs a lot of patience, and must not work with force(3hours Total). Windscreen help!!!!

As for the side stand, in the end I also bought a new side stand. It was turns out there no problem with the length of the previous one. The original design of the leg is not so good, it is too long, so the motorcycle does not stand stable and tends to fall to the side.

The new leg has less freedom so the spring tension is more constant, and the whole thing with the spring works better.
Of course I also shortened the new one. Each time I lowered a bit, until I reached the desired result, I reduced about 6 millimeters from the original length.
After shortening the tilt angle is about 11.3 degrees:
