One of the nice things about a sidecar rig (there are SO many!) is that cage drivers actually SEE you - and they smile!

$1300.00how hard would it be really just to make a triangle frame with a hub attatched to the outside.i never really thought of having something like that just to carry light stuff like gear or even a detatchable seat.
because realalistically if you get hit in a side car your as good as
humpty dumty but hitting a car or tree at 50 not falling 6' off a fence lol.

I had a huge weight that came out of an old IBM mainframe disk drive (think 1980). Well, it was compact - about the size of a concrete block, cubed - but it weighed at least 75 lbs, if not more.Yes, I see what you mean. So does that mean deliberately adding ballast / dead weight is worthwhile when coach building to counter this?
