i love mine too...i am now starting to catch flack from the GF for wanting to take day trips on the weekends by myself (usually just on sunday for 5-6 hour rides) Spending the day with my CBR doesnt make me want to fill my ears with wood putty though :D
It's so intense for most people, they are trying to play it cool.

The initial crush turns to full blown romance. So you try and hide it, but by then it's too late. Everybody already knows your a nutter!

funny when people ask " have you taken the missus out on this yet", they alway laugh at my reply " if i'd wanted her to come with me, i'd have brought a car"

they always seem to think i'm joking...

I tell people this is a one rider bike, me.
I'm not insured to carry passengers (cheaper). Problem solved.
I have a cowl cover and no passenger foot pegs. The question doesn't seem to come up. ;)

My neighbor sold his Yamaha V-Max (1200cc) sometime in the middle of summer. I used to tease him that after idling (warm-up) in his driveway, he would have to begin his ride by visiting a service station to fill up again. He said that this attempt at humour wasn't very far from the truth and readily admitted that his Honda Civic consistently returned better fuel economy.

I invited him to come with me on a ride a few days ago on my bikes. We traded off on the CBR150R and the CBR250R on a 100km ride. He had tons of fun and thanked me repeatedly for giving him an opportunity to ride again. He was also pleasantly shocked that the fuel guages hardly budged over the 100 kms.

Guess what he is looking at buying now? You guessed it - a two fiddy. I think he now understands how much fun I've been having riding my CBR250R.
