Kentucky and Tennessee Road Trip

I just got back from riding around eastern Kentucky and Tennessee. If you haven't been on the back roads of KY I'd highly recommend it, there's some great scenery and tight, twisty roads which are a blast. We took KY 11 and 66 down to Pineville and then headed west on TN 63 into the Knoxville area. Much better than the boring old interstate.

The Cherohala Skyway was amazing and really was the best part of the trip. While it's a long way from home I'd love to do it again. :) Much better than the Dragon as well.

Pics are in my gallery here:

What was the tree of shame about? That puzzled me.
Its crop increases day by day.

I believe that some of the riders who crash on the route hang pieces of broken fairings and broken mirrors and the like upon this tree to commemorate their wrecks.

Some of us have bizarre senses of humor.

Keith <- for example.

Ooh, I see. Yes, definitely a bizarre sense of humour, like English spelling ;)

I think it was the Fontana. We crossed a few different dams.
