Kentucky Fall Color Run

2575 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Stichill
I feel so lucky that the weather warmed up and the skies cleared on a late fall Sunday.

I took the GT on this run because I took the CBR last year. I try to split my time between them so jealousies don't develop, lol.

Wild turkeys!

Cows coming home.

Beautiful. I hope you took your time ;) Such a day is breathtaking and defines why we ride.

Nice. Doesn't look too differently from Germany.
Looks like the GT can actually be parked on the road side. I always get very nervous when doing that with my CBR...
Sometimes I don't dare to do it at all when the road surface is very sloped to let rain drain. :|

A couple of weeks ago I had a German friend visiting here and we took a walk through the fields and woods. As we came up a grassy hill, looking toward a blue sky she said, "It really looks quite a lot like Baden-Württemberg, doesn't it?" I think things are generally more neat and orderly in Germany though...we're a bit more messy here. :)
One of my pet peeves is how so many people here in the U.S. seem to think that it's okay to throw out trash along the road sides. :(

Rather than a fine, the penalty for littering needs to be working on a litter cleanup crew for a month (first offense). The legal theory being that we only caught you once, but you have probably been littering every day.
