I just got back into dirt riding, after a 25 year hiatus.
I have 2 Yamaha Banshee atv's, but I was never able to ride with my dirt bike buds on some of the single track trails.
The Banshees really don't do well in the woods anyways.
So I bought a Kawasaki KLX300R for a great price from a buddy that got a new WR450R.
Great bike, but wanted a street legal dual sport for riding on some of the gravel roads near me, that lead to the fun trails.
I found a good deal on a Suzuki DR Z400S. What a nice, stable bike off road.
Here are a few pics from riding near my home, on the minimum maintenance roads, and trails. Took it easy, as it's been a long time...

Last January:Still have my CBR 250r but went and bought 3 days ago ..................... a new 2011 Kawasaki KLR. Black and flat grey (almost matches my CBR)
I want to enjoy both styles of motorcycle riding..........onroad .....and off-road !!!!

2002 Australian 4 Day Enduro,
Start of a grueling event.
And after 4 days and doing the final Motorcross stage I was spent,
but finished pretty high nationally in my special tests and completed the event.
The little TTR was still thumping along and could have done another 4 days.

You might need a change of underwear but it will keep you fit!
Not as brutal as others of the era but lightning fast but precision handling.
I used to practice on the wide ratio version.
Getting back on my 4 stroke enduro WR and TTR was like a soft lounge chair in comparison.
Its also a future classic, they will never make such bikes again and always popular with the freestyle crowd.
... Do a backflip
