i find if i listen to the low fuel splashing around the tank i have to pee...

trouble starting the bike (really low fuel). You may have to start the bike upright, shake the bike and/or open and close the throttle, then fire her up.

Ya typically it wont run without gas.

In cars - can lower the life of the fuel pump if you let it run to near empty all the time. In bikes - dunno other that what's already stated.

can cause red faced embarrassment and shame if you run out completely on a busy public road.

In older cars and trucks I have always heard running towards empty will pull sediment from the bottom of the tank thru the line and possibly clog the filter..

Running towards empty or completely out is a definite no no for large diesel fuel equipment all together.
On this bike ,especially being basically new with a brand new gas tank, I dont see a problem with it
