So sorry I don't know how to put this, but it seems like this part of my bike had been too hot or things...plz look at the picture and tell me it's OK
YES! that's the word! Now I officially am worriedLooks like the cover is corroding...
guess I'm leaving to the mechanics then. That looks pretty strange... I'd find yourself a large washer which fits the slot in the cap, and use an adjustable wrench on the washer to loosen and remove the cap, so that you can check the condition of the cap o-ring. Not sure what that corrosion is about, though.
I imported this baby from the US to VietNam where the CBR is not sold officially so.... At least I have workshop nearby. Gonna let them check the bike this weekend, will report soon.Is it covered by the warranty? Can we claim that?
It still looks like there is damage to the seal and paint though? Did something get spilled on it? I'd also me keeping a close eye on it...but glad to see it appears to be only a surface issue.Thank you all for your replies. Been really busy with projects and stuff so forgot to update the case. So I washed it last Saturday, and this is what happened
after washing the finish just felt off !!!
The bike still ride ok and that's is getting weirder :-s
that part I didn't notice. How did you protect the bike from salt water moisture when you shipped it? The damage appears to be corrosion, and I'll bet from the boat trip you gave it.
