Came to Pennsylvania over the weekend to celebrate my grandfather's 90th birthday. Couldn't pass up getting a picture of him on his Honda Helix, which he still rides, daily, as long as the weather permits. He has inspired a few generations of us to keep it on two wheels, including two of my uncles and a few of my cousins. Lots of Hondas, save my cousin Dan, who rocks a Yamaha R6.

Happy 90th, Gramps!

Wow, thanks for the well-wishes everyone. Glad you can see where I'm coming from =)
I probably wouldn't be riding these days if it wasn't for this amazing guy putting me in front of him when I was a tot and letting me hold the center of the handlebars. And then, of course, riding pillion on the back when I was a bit bigger. That was when he still had a 'proper' motorcycle.
It's addictive!

I've got the CBR and the Helix. I have a short commute to work and always take the Helix. Great for stopping by the Save-A-Lot and grabbing some groceries on the way home. Also use for my weekly run to the butcher shop about 12 miles away on back roads.

I think 0 to 40 the Helix might take the CBR.

He let me ride the Helix a bit, and it was awkward... but fun. Can't beat the storage space or the mpg, and he loves it. I wish I could have had my CBR up there so we could ride together. Maybe we could have raced up to 40, but I'd like to think I'd have the edge!
