What a long strange trip it's been
My current ride is 2005 Sportster XL883 Custom. I'm keeping that. (nice to have 2 bikes again)
I sold my Twinstar that I had at the same time. Wanted to replace it. And the quest began...
Since I really like my local Honda dealer. I wanted to give him my business. My first inkling was a 650
dual purpose.
Saddle height was like 37". I tried, but there was no way I was comfortable with it. So I thought about
something simple, and obscure. A Ural solo was my next thought.
Lack of a dealer network scared me off. So I found a shorter dual purpose 650.
Came close on that, but they also sold Triumphs, and I always liked the Scrambler. Was really
close to getting this one.
In the end, I think I wanted something small. And although there were a few dual purpose bikes in
the mix, the reality is that I'd ride mostly on the street. The rest is history...
