I did my first trackday on the little cbr at Lakeside raceway here in QLD.
heaps of pics here, i'm in the very first shot
Lakeside Moto Ride Day 4th Mar Red Group

I was a bit tentative to start of with after the organisers told us that this is one of the most dangerous track in aus but i got more confident after the first few sessions.

Yeah lakeside is really good but it only has one run off area and armco everywhere else so if you go off its not going to be pretty.

Me getting ready for the first session

My tire after the first session this track is almost all rights so my tire got a lot worse than this

Flooring it down the main straight

Unfortunately the track has noise restrictions so I had to take my Leo off an put my stock exhaust back on

So they enforce the stock exhaust thing then? Dam. Don't have one.

That's the only track I want to ride. Have ridden it once, as about a 10yr old kid, on a 50cc step through with a magneto driven headlight. That was in the dead of winter at midnight. Had to decide if I wanted see or be warm enough not to shiver.
Did you have to do a couple of runs at QLD Raceway before you went to Lakeside?

Did they do the No gears no brakes sessions?
it was just a track day no tuition

They say they do but there were some pretty loud bikes there and i didn't see anyone get done all day. I'm gonna risk it next time its a pain in the arse changing over exhausts.
The 3 track day rule doesn't apply anymore but i'd still keep it on the down low if you haven't down 3

That big long right hander must be fun, it goes on forever then right again.

yeah they always use the bus stop for bikes because the armco is so close on that corner and it's to dangerous

that last corner was one of my favorites i managed to go around the outside a couple of 600's there but then they blew me away on the straight

Whoohoo knee down, well done :)
Dry weather this time eh.
