Just wanted to post some pictures of my new cbr. I've had the bike for about 4 months. I love it! But I hate being boring so I had to design some graphics for it. The guys down at B.B Graphics in Ocala,FL helped a lot. They're great guys and I would definitely recommend them highly. I still want to get the wheels powdercoated and all the chrome I think I want to paint teal. Not sure yet, but for now I LOVE IT! :D

Very nice,
May I ask is it a vinyl sticker and how much does a custom job like that cost from them? I would like to do something to my bike also to make it stand out but wanted a USMC Military theme maybe some red, gold, or olive drab lettering. :D

It's cut vinyl. Depending on the cost of the vinyl (usually you pay by foot) it can cost from $50-$300. They also do complete wraps. There's a website www.bikeskynz.com not sure how good they are but of course the wraps are going to be more expensive. The up side to it is when you go to sell the bike you can just take the wrap off and it is a perfect paintjob still. :]

Thanks for the quick information aly,

I think that sounds like a very good idea for those vinyl themes. Would work out perfect as you said for later selling the bike, unless someone would want my USMC theme would be easy to remove back to the stock black. Now I just need to come up with a copy of Photoshop or something to play around with ideas on colors. I would love a scheme like this Akuma Devildog Helmet below:

Good Find, the website was with an "i" found it on the web. If I went that route it would be nice to have the pro's do it but they are all the way in NC and I live in Illinois currently. Long way to go for a custom wrap. Looks as though you can do it yourself but would hate to pay a lot and botch the job on the final install. I may have to ask if there is a place closer to the midwest for that.

By the way forgot to mention in the beginning like your bike and the custom teal pin striping.

Oops sorry. Couldn't remember if it was with an I or not. A good way to practice before going all out with the vinyl us go to the 3m website and order a few feet of the cheapest vinyl. Practice wrapping pieces that way when you go all out its not the first time you've done it. I'm pretty sure youtube has some how to videos also. The internet is a wonderful thing. So you were in the marine Corp? My brother just got back from being on an aircraft carrier for 8 months.

Here's the 3m website

This is a place in Chicago called Road Rage Wraps that seems to do a descent job

I love the wrap idea but am going to have a local vendor install it. My luck I would mess it up and that would make me beyond upset and frustrated. I like your selection too! Powder coating your wheels will really make it "pop"

I don't think I would attempt to do it myself either. I'm just lucky I have a very experienced company where I'm from. I took the tire hugger off. Not sure how I feel about it yet. Going to be taking the fender off by Christmas. Powder coating will be done by mid January. I want to get the yoshi rear set adjusters. From what I've heared they make your position on the bike more aggressive. Oh and the last thing im going to do is have my helmet wrapped in all teal with black tribal graphics. The company who did my bike has never done a helmet before, and since its so rounded they want to practice first. So that's my overall goal with the bike :]

Thanks alyhopkins you have been a wealth of knowledge. I watched the video they make it sound easy but all those corners look amazingly tough. Great idea for ordering some plain vinyl wrap to practice with.

Tell your brother Semper Fi for me, I know it can be tough on ship a while. Lucky for me my last duty station was in Hawaii. I served through 9-11 and the early war when we first hit the ground running. I got a chance to serve on the Rifle Team a bit and travel some with them shooting competitions against the best the Army, Navy and Air Force. Shooting and the Marines were such a big part of my life I thought about encorporating something like that, but fell in love with that Akuma Helmet design. It has the old school camo and tares in it revealing the red and Gold Marine Flag colors. The USMC Changed its camo while I was in to digital but I like the old woodland. This is my first year riding and I love the bike. Wanted to personalize it a bit. I think eventually it will be my wife's when I graduate to something larger.

Glad I could help. It took forever for me to research everything when I first started looking into it so I figured since I've already learned might as well put it all in one place.

I'll tell him :] I don't know a lot about what he did while on the ship but obviously something with planes haha. His wife just got out after being in Iraq in 2008. I've thought of joining, but still hesitant.

I have a feeling ill be graduating to a bigger bike as soon as i pay this one off. I dont know what it is but speed is addicting. My boyfriend got a 2012 ninja 250 the same time I got the cbr. He's still jealous of the fuel injection, digital gauge cluster and the height of my bike :]
