What ya think, it certainly looks far better than the CBR stock muffler.

It probably isn't annoyingly loud like a lot of aftermarket pipes.

Quality is Honda OEM.

It's for the same engine (pretty much).

Does it have a cat-convertor in it like the CBR250R muffler?

Something to ponder if it sounds good and doesn't have a cat...

The 'R' is, the 'L' probably isn't.

Though at 2 1/2 times the price (here at least) it would want to be.

When I first got my bike last year before any aftermarket was around I made one from my CRF450. I used the stock pipe, not the nicest looking but it sounds good and fits perfectly.
This has me thinking... I have the stock muffler from my 2001 XR400R, swapped out for an FMF PowerCore when the the bike was new. Any reason this stock XR muffler wouldn't work on the CBR? I'm thinking it must be more free flowing than the stock CBR muffler. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure how how free flowing the XR pipe will be but yes I would imagine It would be better than stock. The one I made is definatly more free flowing than the stocker.
What did you have to do as far as fabrication to make it fit?

How did it match up to the head pipe in terms of diameter?

Did you have to have to re-bend either pipe to get good alignment?

Any changes to the fuel mapping?
