My cbr250r 2016 model the problem is noise coming from engine I don't know, is it engine or shim noise . Its sounds like tick tick and another sound is like generator. When temp line is above one the noise is making more loud . Anyone help me to find what is the problem. What I want to do.

Welcome to the forum. If you can upload a video so we can get an impression of the noises, that would be nice.

"generator" noise? Are these metallic knocks with a frequency that depends on the engine rpm? If so, it means that the engine is about to end its life (free play in the crankshaft bearings, or in the big hand bearings, or both).

Regarding the increase in noise as a result of the engine warming up, it should not be like this, it is not a typical characteristic of a valve adjustment problem.

When was the last time you replaced the timing chain tensioner?

If you have any doubts, you should not rush to decide, give the motorcycle to close examination by local mechanic you trust on.

I have been driving since 6months but nothing happened yet.

I don't know when the timing chain tensioner was changed. Because I bought it from seller (second hand bike).

But When I start bike in the morning the extra noise won't come . Noise only come after temp above one line.

If the "problem" doesn't get worse, then maybe there isn't a problem. Or there is a problem, but it is not dramatic.

So in such a case it is advisable to replace it, the component is not relatively expensive, and replacement does not require a lot of garage time. It is recommended to change it every 20-25 thousand kilometers.

Our single cylinder engine has a tendency to make ticking noises due to the exhaust manifold release valve (this, link to Partzilla)

I suggest that you try to record a video demonstrating the noises you mention, upload the video to YouTube, give us a link, and we will try to understand together what it is about.
Valve adjustment may be required.
How many Km has your motorcycle pass? And how many owners were there before you? Maybe your motorcycle worked hard on the racetrack?

The manufacturer Honda recommends a valve clearance check every 25,000 kilometers. But in normal use, not on the race track, the valves have no tendency to go out of adjustment.

If there is no real reason the mechanic will not do this check. You can insist, and this is a relatively expensive job in terms of working time (requires a lot of working time).
Because of the difficult procedure, you should go to a mechanic who knows the model, and has already worked on similar motorcycles in the past.
The procedure is long and you really need to know what you are doing at each stage, otherwise it is not worth starting with it at all.

Hi, and thanks, the sound quality of the recording is good, and I don't hear anything that sounds unusual to me.

From the Video you have shared, the engine sound quit harsh and also tick-tick is there. As Honda engines are sounds quite smoother.
You can change the chain tensioner and see. What I heard from many Honda workshop's here in Pune. I got to know that's they never have changed the shims and only replacing the chain tensioner for such tick-tick noise.
Now may be they are not 100% right. But it's most probable source for that sound.

I have to admit it sounds like my engine:cool: (70,000km), and I don't know of any other CBR250R engine sound for comparison. So I wrote "OK".
It's just that Tony seems to have a hard starting too, then he turns the throttle to help the engine run in the first few seconds???

Because my hard starting problem(LINK) is still not solved and I thought it was,
I have new claims, and it has to do with engine noises:
In my opinion, because this is the last thing I haven't tried yet, I have a slight compression leak, and after a few movements of the piston and a few detonation cycles, the heat causes the rings to expand and the clearance to close (because after a few seconds my engine settles).
I did a compression test LINK, but it turned out that it has no contribution to understanding the situation because it is very inaccurate.

So my rings seal good after a seconds and I get good performance, but if this is the case, then there is also clearance between the piston and the cylinder, and probably this causes a ticking type of noise. I don't have an oil leak, burning the fuel is normal. But....I share it because It seems to me that this is part of the noise "problem" at used engine (70,000Km).
I can do a top engine overhaul...but I have no reason to rush, maybe next winter? Right now summer is coming, and when the temperatures continue to rise, in my estimation above 25 degrees, the first morning start will return to normal (without the need to lightly pull the throttle).
