Going to the bank for a $500 deposit on a black 2012 tomorrow. There is a Tri-color in shop right now that I am thinking about so I am not waiting another month.
Croaker, Great price! Can you tell me the name of the NY dealer and the sales person that you worked with?

annoyance tax

The nanny-states really are doing ye guys without lube.
that tire fee is just annoying, they could have hid that much somewhere never to be noticed. all tires purchased including on the new vehicle have a disposal fee. You mean we cant have a bonfire and burn them?

The dealers, just like car dealers increase their income with the the shipping and setup fees, and razzle dazzle.

getting done with no lube is a larger issue than a petty tire disposal "fee".
see how smart they are? see how stupid we are? It is a 'fee' not a 'tax'. Oh that is different. Fees are popping up everywhere now.

Price: $5200.00 OTD
Delivery date: 4/14/2012
Comments: If I could I would've waited till the winter but I have no vehicle to commute so I paid the $700 premium over MSRP. Guy offered $6000 in the beginning but after a little email haggling he took $800 off.

Showroom cost was $4,099 for my 2012 non-ABS RWB CBR250R
Then there was all kinds of shipping charges, TT&L, etc.
I paid $1,119.29 down for the amount they wouldn't finance and for the exhaust.
I bought an extended 5 year unlimited mile warranty for another 1K

So I'm paying $6,298.52 total. I'm financing $5,179.23 of that amount over 5 years. :) Cost less than a cable bill.

Just put a deposit down on a red 2012 ABS. $5165 out the door (throwing in a tank pad too woohoo lol), Blackman's Cycle Center in Emmaus, PA. They had no red ABS models in stock or on order and said it would most likely be June at the earliest for them to get one in. I said I was willing to wait for it because I love that red. Next day I get a call...the manager suggested that they take the tri-color ABS they are getting in this Friday and swapping out its fairings and tank with a red non-abs they have in the back to get me riding as early as next week. I said suuuuure why not. I was surprised they offerred to do that work and didn't try to push another color, but I wasn't about to complain :D.

For those in Eastern PA, you may want to also try Kiss Honda in Pottstown. I actually got a lower quote of $5128 out the door, but chose Blackman's because they took good care of my GS500F and they are much closer to my house.

$4400 OTD CASH
Still undecided whether my first bike should be brand new two fiddy. Si ABS really necessary? It's the only one they got left for 2011 to get such a sweet deal.

$4400 OTD seems like a steal for a new ABS model. I would jump on that in a heartbeat!!

As far as whether or not ABS is necessary, you'll find people with differing opinions on it on this board. I would do a search and find a thread discussing the pros/cons of ABS on bikes rather than derailing this thread.
