My black, non-ABS version is a "E2 CBR250RB(2AC) NH-A35 BLK" with 000896 at the end of the VIN. One of the first 1K maybe? I got this off the back of my Owner's Manual.

Guess that makes the AC the ABS version. Maybe on of our northern brethren can confirm, eh?

;) "Coo coo coo roo coo coo coo coo"

Was just looking at my owners manual, and i dont see anything like that on the back. Can you be more specific, what page? My cover say "CBR250R/A"

Also, i have a feeling these are the microfiche for the CBR150, as if you look at the front wheel sheet, you can see in the far left a diagram of the disk brake for the 150. Also the copyright of 2004-2011. Anyone have any experience ordering from these guys?

P.S. Looking at the "Front Fender" for the AC vs 2AC model, and the Front Brake, I think now that the AC is the black bike and the 2AC is the red one. The brake microfiche are identical for both bikes, so not sure how someone with ABS will get parts if they need to.

EDIT: had it backwards, 2AC = Black, AC = Red

don't trust Ebay filters. Buddy bought one, used it and regrets it. It didn't do much for filtering the oil. OEM is always the best way or a good aftermarket brand such a K&N

Especially seeing that the CBR250R is a new bike, you might as well do things right from the start and maintain it properly. "HiFlo" might be good, but OEM is the best.
Cruiser! I think you are right about this...especially while your bike is under warranty.....you don't want to have a catastrophic engine failure attributed to a will-fit filter...and Honda declining warranty. Once you are out of warranty...and the after market has a selection of filters...well then you can choose what you trust.

The data was on a sticker on the back of my Owner's Manual.

Did it right at my 600 mile service. My mechanic asked me when i got it done if i wanted synth and i was like "don't you have to wait till its broke in".... to which he replied "um... it's been broke in since about 300 miles". Motorcycle motors take far less time to break in. I think it actually says right in the manual that the break in period is 300 miles.

OK so I went today and purchased the honda oem filter and honda oil for my 600 mile service. I did alot of searching online before I drove 45 mins to the dealer to purchase the filter. I also have a filter that fits a 99 trx300fw that is of napa brand. It crosses over to a fram ch6015. The cbr250r also crosses over to a ch6015, but the honda part #'s are different. After purchasing the filter and bringing it home, I see that the filters look identical!!!! So whats up with that???

The Honda "KYJ" oil filter for the CBR250R looks like, and is the same size as the Honda "KF0" oil filter used in my air cooled XR thumper's. The "KF0" filter costs a couple bucks more. That said, are they interchangeable? Maybe. Would I risk engine failure on any of my bikes, to find out? No way, its not worth it. It would not surprise me if there is an internal difference between the two filters, given that there is a price difference between them. When in doubt, stick with what you know.
