I imagine the labor is just removing/installing the forks & shock and replacing the fork internals. The same that your dealership would charge for servicing your forks but 40% off. Not really a bad deal.

Plus 40% off the goodies themselves ain't bad... but 50% would be better.
Still you're looking at a grand instead of close to two grand if you do both ends of the bike.

I would be at the their shop in a heartbeat if I could.
If no one loans them a bike by next spring I will certainly haul my bike down there for the deal. I've see race techs's work. I've ridden bikes with their setups.
They are worth it.

FYI, all the racetech front end parts for an EX 250 are a direct drop in. no need for R&D.
So springs and emulators for the little Ninja drop into the little Honda?
That's almost too easy :D

I reckon Race Tech doesn't know this yet but hopefully soon will.
So I would assume the only R&D would be the shock. I've never taken a close enough look at the Ninja 250 to see how it was set up. But it makes sense that they both run 38mm forks considering they are similar in weight & power.

Thank you very much for this little gold nugget of info.
I need to save up some $$$ pronto and give ol' Racy Techie a call :)

Call me an odd duck but I prefer to mod the handling, then the ergo's of a bike first. After all that's done then I'll go for the power mods.
I thought I'd be waiting until next spring or summer for this but now...The wheels in my nogg'n are turning :)

woolf, You are my hero!

Thank you for being the donor guy. I'm a little bit jealous :D

On Edit: Perhaps by the time I have my suspension fund saved they will have come up with something CBR250R specific.
Either that or they'll have Ninja 250 parts with new part numbers :)
Either way it will be thoroughly tested.

And on that note....
DRC, how was the little Honda with the Ninja bits?

the suspension worked flawlessly. and like i said before. the Elka brand shot for the EX has a part number of CBR1250810. Leads me to believe that Kawi copied the honda when they made the EX. they are both made in Thailand...

waiting for parts with honda part numbers is just silly....
If I had the $$ right now I probably wouldn't wait. Not after reading your first hand experience.
But since I have no choice but to wait until November/December, there's no harm in seeing if they come up with anything different.

It's improbable but not impossible :)
