Hi All,

I am on the hunt for a 250 with ABS in the socal area. So far the prices have been moderately insane.
Best offer I have at the moment is 5200 with a free helmet. But I dont really like the helmets they have. (Have my eyes on a Bell vortex siege).
I just emailed four dealerships inside of a hundred mile radius to see what they can do.
I think $4900 otd is a fair price. Am I being unrealistic?

I have searched for a used one... no abs models around. Prices are close to new once I factor in registration and tax.

$5200 OTD with a free helmet sounds like a good deal for 2013 with ABS. I know others were able to get better deals in other parts of the country - but pricing seems a little higher in Cali.

I was originally quoted close to $6.5k with ABS after crazy fees + tax. Got mine for $5200 OTD after taxes, title, registration, and delivery.

If, and it's a big IF, you're willing to travel to Phoenix, give Western Honda a call and ask 'em what they can do for you. I got my '12 for 4K OTD, they are a large-volume dealer.
with abs? Nice! Once I have more experience I will probably go for a cbr500. When that time comes, I will keep them in mind, thanks!

I got 5073 otd with half off a Bell rs-1 helmet & visor, (so internet price for the helmet basically).

where did you purchase from? I was quoted 6200 for the exact same bike at a dealer in Whittier, and Temple City but I thought it was to high.

Fun Bike Center on Kearney Mesa. They quoted me 5239 on the phone & I fired back with a much lower cash offer. Got a call telling me they couldnt meet my price, but could come close. Paying cash definitely made a difference.
Veys Powersports probably would have beat the price, but it would have taken a week to get the bike & they didnt carry the helmets or gloves I liked. Plus FBC is less than 3 miles from my house. I ******************** near grabbed the 300 w/abs from em, they have it for 4799 on cycletrader (new).

Thanks for the info., this will be my first one and I don't want to get screwed. I've seen a few post where people where given much lower prices OTD and have been really reluctant to go ahead and purchase, since I am paying cash and don't know why with all the fees I am being quoted almost a grand more.
