Im trying to asthetically slim down my bike and so far, I've got the hotbodies flush turn signals (which I dont recommend unless you can hand make a spacer and drill into the metal front turn signal bracket without worry), the yoshimura fender eliminator, and an integrated turn signal tail light. I also plan to do away with the stock mirrors and use some bar end mirrors instead. The thing that is bothering me now is that because the front signals are so flush, there isn't much signal to be seen if you are looking at the bike head on. I have seen mirror block off plates with built in turn signals that are for other bikes or stick on universals, but none made for the 250r. Anyone happen to find any?

I used those plastic pins from Lowes to plug my trunk after removing a spoiler.

Which mirrors did you go with?

The Napoleons. Not bad looking just not sexy. Function totally as expected, maybe better because I was expecting the vibration to increase with the weights being gone. Not so. The mirrors were enough that there is no difference in feel. I expected the vision to be affected worse than it is. Truth, over 7000 rpm it has some affect but nothing that makes it difficult to see. Bought them because tons of guys were telling me if I was willing to spend the money they gave the best rear vision and were the most versatile. I hate seeing any bit of my body, clothing or bike in my mirror. Motor vehicle Auto part Vehicle Tire Automotive tire

Hotbodies flush mounts are easy enough to install, if you put the spacers backwards or flipped or something (in a way that doesn't seem right) they actually fit pretty snug, or at least that's what I found. I drilled a hole on the raised plastic fairing inbetween the metal "fork" on the bracket, didn't have to drill through the metal and the cable went through nicely.

I have since removed them and gone back to stock indicators/mirrors however, as I'm not keen on the bar end mirrors and everything else doesn't have long enough stems to let me actually see behind me.

Here is what I recommend. You do need to drill holes in your bar to run the wires, so if you're not comfortable with that, then this won't work. They also sell ones that works with barend mirrors too, but I'm not sure it will work with the current mirrors you have (BTW, I just don't see how your mirrors help you "asthetically slim down" your bike. I personally don't care for them, but you know what they say about opinions... lol. If you like them, that's all that matters.)

Don't split lanes in Alaska so width while moving is fine. They have several detents that they fold to so I fold them up if it's parked tight next to anyone.

Thank god it's my bike. I'd rather it be more useful than help me apply makeup. Oh, and it may be making
a more serious transformation to an adventure tourer complete with a mudflap to keep mud out the radiator when I take her all the way to Deadhourse. Gets me from a to b. It's no chick magnet unless you plan on loosing them at the next light to something bigger.

The way I see it, removing the stock mirrors will visually slim it down quite dramatically. With a bar end mirror, I can have it low and it would only go so far out as the stock mirrors already do anyways and it would be on the handlebars which visually are suppose to be out there. I like the idea of the bar end signals, but to have to drill into my handlebars? Any idea if the wires could be ran alongside the killswitch/starter, turnsignal/horn wiring? Til I do find something for the mirror mounts though, I'll definitely just use a basic plug. Definitely not worth paying out the @$$ for yoshi's little bits of metal...

*bump* -- Has anyone found any mirror block-off turn signals yet? I think the last thing mentioned above was the hotbodies racing turn signal/miror block-off's but those are not compatible with the cbr250.

I purchased the flush side mount turn signals from hotbodies and also got these bar end mirrors: 7 8" Bar End Mirrors for Street Fighter Buell Ducati Triumph ZX10 R1 R6 GSXR CBR | eBay

Looking to get some turn signal block off's so I'm more visible from the front...

Cheers.
