Never thought it would come to this but I made a huge mistake. I had the cat drilled out and it turns out the cat was clogged... but now I need to put a new cat in. I found a replacement honey comb but my exhaust guy says he can't weld it in. what should I do? I want to have the stock exhaust around for if/when I sell it but it needs a cat so its not a problem for someone else down the road.

If you just want to keep a spare stock exhaust handy for if/when you sell the bike I'd keep my eye open for someone selling a complete stock muffler on the aftermarket. You might be able to pick one up for a reasonable price if you're in no hurry. Besides, a lot can happen to the bike between now and when you eventually hope to sell it.
