Just want to give everybody else a heads up so you don't end up losing money like I did. Avoid any garbage from "win-buy88" on ebay!!! I know, I know, it's my stupid fault for buying anything from a seller in hong kong but I thought maybe, just maybe I might get a decent product for cheap. LOL Boy was I wrong. I got a carbon fiber tank pad and the matching carbon fiber gas cap cover from them. Well they came in today and the first thing I notice is that they are both paper thin, not a thicker rubber like the genuine honda ones. The I go to put on the gas cap and it doesn't even come close to fitting my cap. The main circle shaped piece that goes around the very outside is so big it hangs off the edges to the point that some of the holes in it are actually over the gap between the tank and cap! Plus the part that cover the lock cover is the wrong shape and size also! And in the ad it specifically states it's for a cbr250r! I left a horrible feedback on ebay and I figured I'd come on here and post so nobody on here buys a faulty product from them. I put the tank pad on for now just because it'll offer "some" protection until I can get a genuine honda one.

It was only around $10 I'm out so it wasn't a big loss or anything but it's just the point of it that they're selling a product that doesn't fit. I'm not even attempt to get my money back either from a company in hong kong because I know it'll be way more trouble than what $10 is worth. Hell, that won't even buy a decent lunch nowdays. LOL

I'd be more concerned about an escort service charge suddenly showing up on your charge card (unless you used Paypal, or such...).

Been there...

LOL, Yeah I used paypal. I should have known though because you ALWAYS get what you pay for. If you go cheap you get crap, it's not like it used to be when you could still get decent quality stuff for decent prices. The other thing that made me mad (and why I left a horrible feedback) is that they had a good feedback which I ALWAYS check on ebay. If someone has even somewhat shady feedback I always avoid them, but these scumbags somehow have good feedback?? Maybe because they're in a ****hole part of the world and people expect less over there??

I just wanted this on here because I know this is a popular, cheap thing that a lot of people do to their bikes and I didn't want to see anybody else on here get ripped off.

That's why I only order stuff from within my own country or just down the street at the dealer.

Sorry I didn't get any pics as I was extremely pissed and I balled the crap up and threw it away. And I definitely learned my lesson on ordering junk from hong kong.

Hey!!! Don't knock on Hong Kong! lol. But the seller was a douche. So that's shitty. Sorry but at least it was only $10. I drove to Competition Accessories in Rock Hill, SC today to go exchange my helmet that I ordered. (too big) I saw a tank pad there. Thick and looks just like the one Honda sells. It was $22 I think. But that's almost the same as what the dealer charges I think. But in case you wanted to check it out, Motorcycle Helmets, Motorcycle Jackets & Motorcycle Gear at Competition Accessories.

Awesome! Thanks for the link, they have all kinds of different tank pads! I really like the ones that say CBR on them. My wife found a really cool one on ebay from a US seller that was all black carbon fiber and at the top actually had the CBR 250R logo on it. The CBR 250 was silver and the R was red and it looked really sharp but it was like $35.

I think I'm gonna order my tankpad from the site I linked below. I've already got "comp cash" b/c I bought two helmets from them. So that would pretty much cover it and shipping. I am looking for sliders, windscreen, and fender eliminator at the moment. I'm leaning towards the T Rex sliders. Just b/c it's a better deal than Yoshi or Shogun. With T-Rex, you get two pairs. I just want those asap b/c I don't want to mess up my plastics. I wasn't expecting to dish out $150ish for them though. I looked through the forum and found that some ppl had a few issues with TRex b/c of sending wrong hardware for kit but it's a risk I'm willing to take. Hopefully they got their sh*t together by now.

I don't know if it might make you feel a little better or not but on these bikes it seems that a low speed/sitting still "drop" doesn't damage the plastics. I'm sure a higher speed drop/crash would do a number on them though but as far as a slow speed drop they come out ok. My wife has dropped both of ours, once on the right side and the other on the left side at standstill and slow speed and on both all that got "damaged" (I wouldn't even call it damaged really) is a small scuff on the end of the mirror, a scuff on the muffler heat shield and a slightly bent clutch lever (which bent back by hand). Even the turn signals, which to me look like they would easily break off in any drop, came out fine! I want to get frame sliders for mine though because I keep pushing mine a little more in the twisties as I keep getting more comfortable and have severely narrowed my chicken strips which I am happy about. LOL Being brand new it's only a matter of time before you drop it at least once though but don't let it get you down. Do like my wife did and pick it up, dust yourself off and get right back at it!

Steveeee I will check with the wife and may be contacting you here in the future to do business. Those are sweet pads and cap covers!

Put my tank pad on today. Finally. lol. I only paid like $22 so it's not bad. I'm happy with it. I was worried I'd go Michael J. Fox on it and put it on crooked. lmao. But it looks straight enough to me!
