Thinking about riding through Chile (Patagonia) and parts of Argentina in the next few years. The plan at this stage is to meet up with my son in Santiago (who will be 14 by then) as he will be at the end of his school's Spanish Language exchange field trip. From there, the idea is to spend a month or so touring together -- though not in Ernesto 'Che' Guevara sense.

So my question is whether you guys and girls have any views, suggestions or even experience relating to such an endeavour in that part of the world.
