I peeled the stickers off with my fingernails carefully. then used this

Turtle Wax - Turtle Wax Label & Sticker Remover

just let it set on the glue for about a minute or 2 then just rub it off with a washrag (do not use paper towels they just fall apart)

got it @ Advanced Auto for like 5$ but you could probably find it anywhere
