A friend of mine recently changed his cone set from ball bearings to tapered roller bearings. He made all the required adjustments to fit it perfectly. The reason why we considered doing this is that With all the bad roads and frequent soapy washes we seem to be going through a lot of replacements for the cone sets. We came across an article online regarding this matter and they said tapered roller bearings are way better for motorcycles. They both have their own pros and cons, but has anyone tried it out over here? OEM Honda rings cost around 1800RS for the upper and lower side (Made in India). Japanese made one's costs around 2200RS.

Not that I know of. I've always upgraded from ball-bearings to roller-bearings for much longer lifespan. Even on my bicycles!

Doesn't roll any better, both work great when greased and adjusted properly. Roller bearings just lasts A LOT longer., especially under high loads.
