I just sat on a Ninja 250 yesterday.. Then I sat on the CBR and it is seriously 100% more comfortable. The seat and riding position is absolutely AMAZING. Grips feel a little too close together but Im also used to dirtbike handles. Just sitting on the bike feels sporty. Everyone is going to be so happy with theirs!!
Im not sure if Ill be the first in the US to have it but I like to think so. Also the bikes VINs are number sequentially.. I have number 7 out of about 4,000 licensed in the US.. I wonder who is getting number 1??
Im not quite sure how to explain it. The Ninja felt like it wouldnt be fun to ride when you sit on it. I wouldnt say it felt bigger but the CBR felt smoother.. If that make sense. The tank on the CBR felt awesome on my legs.
As for the break in period.. I plan to take the first couple days slow since Im not used to this type of riding position but after that I plan on not taking it over 6k rpm until break in period is done.
Sorry for the delay guys. So I did all the paper work and got the bike on the road around 3:30pm today. I put 50 miles on her today and here are my impressions... The bike is super comfortable although after 2 hours straight of riding my ass couldnt take anymore. The bike handles fantastically. Countersteering and extremely easy and since the bike is so light it is easy to lean into curves. Excelleration is good but it could honestly use just a little more power.. If only it were a 400cc. It is geared perfectly for city riding but also does really good at 65mph. Overall I am extremely happy with the bike. I got tons of looks from other riders today. Couldnt ask for a more comfortable and affordable bike
The brakes do feel a little soft to me. I like responsive brakes but with the CBR you have to squeeze a little too hard to get a real good response. Stainless lines should fix that thought. And no I haven't had any passengers yet
Well there are 5 bars for the gas indicator.. I rode 50 miles so far (I'm out of town for Easter) and the first bar has not gone away yet. I'm curious to know as well haha
So heres a little update. So far I have put just over 145 miles on the CBR and Im still on the same tank of gas the dealership gave me. I love it. My only true complaint is the seat.. After awhile my ass starts to hurt. Definitely getting a new seat. I rode the other night and the lights are amazing. I dont have any problems with the bike at all! Ill take some pictures today and what not. Let me know if you have any specifics you want to see and Ill post them!
Ill take some pictures today. The 140 tire is noticeably smaller but doesnt look terrible. You could probably squeeze a 150 or possibly a 160 tire on there depending on the brand of the rubber
Finally filled up today. Went 189 miles on a tank and I got 71.57 miles per gallon.. AWESOME!
