Toolkit

Hi, I'm in the UK but got the whole toolkit as described. My helmet holder was also in the toolkit which was under the seat. I'm sure all bikes worldwide get the kit. I would contact your dealer and get him to get you one.

there was a checklist in my clear white pouch that also contained the manual and a small 1 in by 3 in paper that was a "part packing check list" with 2 items, the tool set and the owners manual that were both checked off!

i only got the allen key and the helmet strap,
just called my dealer and he said the extra stuff
is not free.
only thing i'd would have liked was the small spanner wrench.
have one but not small like that.all the other
stuff looks pretty cheap anyways.i already made up an
emergency tool kit better than that.

i was missing one thing,my battery harness and bolt
that secures it.it's in just have to pick it up.
the guy at honda said it was a total of 2,85
and they were not going to worry about it:rolleyes:
i said i f...... hope not because i paid cash
same day i looked at it 3 weeks ago.
he babbled oh your right i'm sorry yadda yadda
yadda.

Okay, that makes much more sense, other countries got the big kit.. US, you get the allen key and the helmet, no tools.

I did have the allen key in the black pouch.

Thanks everyone! I need to put some bike pics up.. 160 miles on the odo so far.

Yeh what a shitty kit, all I got was an allen wrench and helmet strap. What i really need is that spanner wrench to adjust the rear spring, because I can buy most the other things at the local hardware store.

The stock toolkit is really, really "inexpensive".

You'd be far better off making your own substituting the two fixed spanners with four combination spanners. To open several of the rear body panels you would need box spanners too.

The allen key works for almost all the allen bolts - except the ones fixing the rear view mirrors - you'll need a 5mm key as one just for those four bolts.

The nice only thing is - you probably will not need any of those tools at all on the road......

In India a first aid kit is also included, to comply with regulations. It might actually be useful in case of VERY minor injuries

You also get some cotton wool (good for one pimple) and some crepe bandage (will probably go around your finger thrice) not to mention some povidone iodine ointment in a tube so small that it is probably good for one use on the pimple mentioned above..

It's a Honda, everything is in harmony :p

Haha They probably do this because they assume the Americans already have all the tools or they know that if they arent good tools we will just constantly complain about them.
