there was a checklist in my clear white pouch that also contained the manual and a small 1 in by 3 in paper that was a "part packing check list" with 2 items, the tool set and the owners manual that were both checked off!

The stock toolkit is really, really "inexpensive".

You'd be far better off making your own substituting the two fixed spanners with four combination spanners. To open several of the rear body panels you would need box spanners too.

The allen key works for almost all the allen bolts - except the ones fixing the rear view mirrors - you'll need a 5mm key as one just for those four bolts.

The nice only thing is - you probably will not need any of those tools at all on the road......

In India a first aid kit is also included, to comply with regulations. It might actually be useful in case of VERY minor injuries

Haha whats in the first aid kit, a couple band aids?

Sorry to revive an older thread, but for a newbie, what exactly is the wire-thingy in the UK/rest-of-the-world-not-US toolkit? Guess I'll be making my own. Thanks!

That is the helmet lock. This one is pretty crap useless. If it wasn't for being free, id never use it. Since you don't have one consider yourself lucky. Buy a nicer more convenient one.
