What is the correct valve clearance for the 600 mile check. i want to do the work myself. save money and get to know the bike a bit better. ive searched for this but there is really no clear answer.

You should buy the Service Manual first. It's in there.

intake .16mm or .016"
exhaust .27mm or .011"
