I went to Dealer yesterday in Canada. Last week he told me I would get my bike first week of April. Now he saws probably second week. Such a tease!

don't be shocked if you have to wait longer, sorry to say that but it's true

the Japan situation could have a world wide affect on our CBR's, but at this point, who really knows...

Judging from the size of this forum and the amount of active people, this forum seems to be the place to be to be updated on the CBR

I'm having a hard time with the excuse of the Japan Disaster (though tragic and I feel for the Japanese). It just really seems to be an excuse being thrown around by dealers here in North America. I say this because of the fact that the bikes are being built in Thailand. Could someone explain it better to me?

the Japan disaster can be only be used as their excuse for a small amount of time. They have to make money too, right? The CBR250R is a world wide bike, with the numbers their producing which will be a lot to my guess the longer they have the bikes sitting the more they will lose out on.

If they are using the Japan disaster as an excuse which i hope there not, well that's just shame on them, taking something tragic and using it to their benefit. Honda has a good rep, so I will need some evidence to back this before I myself can agree.

Yeah honda has a good rep but i don't think they are pumping out enough bikes.

Also rumor that I've herd to is that, some of the bikes stop by japan before coming here as well.

Im sure that there are some parts that are coming from Japan, and pretty much a lot of the automakers are cripple due to parts shortages, even some US plants are suffering from the parts shortages.

About them shipping bikes to Japan then to where we are at (USA) I don't know about that, it just seems too "extra" and that might be pointless and add on unwanted costs/fee's that can be avoided by shipping directly too America. If they are doing this, it's not the smartest thing to do.

The CBR250R is an affordable bike, they have to do things to make it affordable yet make profit off of it.

Actually, Thailand's need to ship off the Pacfic Coast and head past Japan, so why not stop there, and have the bikes inspect or what ever is needed, Just a possibility. As they travel across the pacific and into ports like Vancouver or any west coast port. So regardless they need to pass by Japan. It may be extra but im just saying from what i herd.

I just think it's pointless. If it's to inspect bikes, that makes it worse. If they can build the bikes their and have all the technology needed to build them correctly im sure what ever is needed to inspect them will be their too. So it just makes sense to do things all in one place rather than moving mass amounts of product that requires a lot of care. just my 0.02
