I have this Joe Rocket Phoenix Ion High-Viz mesh jacket that is starting to get dirty, possibly from catching exhaust (only reason I can think of).

Any tips/cautions for washing? Wasn't sure if throwing it in the washer was safe or if it would rip the mesh, etc.

Don't clothes come with washing instructions attached to the inside in your country? o_O

Mine can be put into the washer but I have to run it on a soft program (we call it hand washing program here). I also have to remove all protectors before washing.

Hehe, didn't actually think to look there.

It pretty much says, "hand wash; don't do anything else (bleach, soak, line dry, dry clean, machine wash, 20 other don'ts, etc.)"

Never hand washed a mesh jacket before, so I guess now's a good time to learn.

So, you worrying "exhaust", but don't the body liquids? Ok, it's mesh, fully air showered.

Take all protectors out, you can lay hands on
Stuff it either in a bigger bucket and wash by hand,
or get yourself a wash bag, where it just fit inside.
This one you put with towels or such in the washing machine.
Handwarm, on delicates with "NO SPINNING"
Not after prewash, after wash, after rinse.
Not at all spinning.
Than it should be ok.
But: No accountability from my side!
