I tried to adjust the chain slack and did a good job putting my bike on a home made center stand. After that i started the bike and inspected the wheel alignment by running it on 1st gear with the back wheel still up. I noticed a slight wheel play. i rechecked the Chain adjuster index marks and confirmed that they are equally placed on both sides.I am confused whether it was present from the beginning or after the maintenance. Is this acceptable or can it cause problems eventually? Please help with your suggestions.

you put your bike in gear/running on a homemade centerstand:eek:
bad idea.
just takes that one time to say it was one in a million accident.
thats all most as bad as cleaning the rear rim while in gear.

just giving good advise.
