Still waiting for mine back here in Canada. Suppose to get it next week!
Mines suppose to be shipped on the 17th and here (Kendalville, Indiana) the following week. I sat on a black non-ABS and it was nice. I'm coming from a 2008 Harley Street Glide so it was small. That's what I wanted though, something smaller to putt around on.
I purchased mine with ABS on April 30th in Florida.
I stopped in my local honda dealer Saturday. He said no shipments of ABS bikes in the near future.
The Chicago dealers seem to have no clue when (or even if) they will get their shipment of ABS bikes. I've been calling every few weeks to try to get an update. What's with the delay? Why the secrecy from Honda? or are the dealers just toying with their customers?

Desplaines Honda is supposed to get 2 non abs at the end of the month. Dupage Honda, where I got mine, is possibly getting one non abs at the end of June also. They told me that one would be the last they get for the forseeable future, if they even get it.

I just got rid of my Volusia the other day and gave the wife the Sportster. I get alot more use out of the smaller bike.
Handles great, super light weight. Big difference then having to back my 650 lb Volusia out of the garage.
Me!!!:D Just gave the whole payment today and will pick it up on wednesday. Can't wait! Ordering some parts too: exhaust, Tail tidy and porbably a step kit. Will post pics a soon everything is done! ;)
It's strange to me that so many places are having a shortage, here in the lower mainland of BC, I got my bike about 2 weeks ago, and every dealer I went to, all 4 of them, had at least one of every model available! Maybe I just bought at a lucky time? Good luck to all you guys waiting anyway!

His must have been a super secret special delivery? Got his abs before I even got my non ABS. Something smells fishy here.
Canada has them, US doesn't...
I have yet to hear from anyone anywhere why the U.S. has no ABS bikes. The Honda regional sales guys have no answer for it. Latest word I have is July/August ! While Honda was delivering non-ABS bikes in a flurry in the States, Honda Canada received both abs and non-abs versions per dealer orders. It becomes even more confusing when you figure the U.S. dealers ordered mostly non-abs machines.........some things are a mystery......
No mystery. Its because they know the majority of people will buy them without abs. Plus its a cheaper version, easier to compete with the Ninja 250R.

But if they have people with actualy deposists down for an ABS, why not ship them, atleast as many as there were deposits? I had a deposit down for one, then said **** it when all the non were showing up and no dealer had a clue when they were getting an ABS.
Because dealers are greedy. My local dealer said he'd take a Non-refundable $500.00 deposit on a non/abs and told me he doubted he'd get any this year. And he never has.
Got mine from another dealer who told me even if I didn't like the bike i'd get my deposit back. The dealer I got mine from ordered 12, was told they'd get three, but only got two.
Just my opinion, but abs on such a small light bike isnt a must have.
That has nothing to do with the dealers though. If I put a deposit on an ABS and Honda won't ship it to them, but apparently does to Canada, it's not the dealers fault.

I'm glad I didn't get an ABS now actually. First bike so I wanted to be safe, but I'm not so worried about it now that I've gotten real life braking experience.
The same song is being sung by most of us..i had a deposit in by mid april, the dealer said they were getting two or three, end of april, 1st of may rolls around and i'd made two deposits down on the bike i hadnt seen yet..next day went to the dealer, got my deposit back, on a whim called a dealer i had not talked to yet and they had gotten two in on may 1st, and I went in and bought mine the next morning on may 2nd..no abs and i didnt care...the thing stops great without it..

All the dealers I talked to knew they werent getting any abs.
